Question by pondering: questions about eyes + colour matching… (“make up” wise :P )?
1. Well. I have sort of dark-olive (green, not black :p) eyes. But from afar, they look brown. The question is… how do I emphasise (sp correct? :) ) the green in them???
2. That said, I also have a question about lipsticks or lipglosses. I have a pale skin, and nearly black hair… What tone of lipstick or lipgloss would suit me? I a. tried bright red and sadly it didn’t suit me, and b. I wouldn’t want the colour to be too extreme!!!
Thx people :)

try to do a light/bright purple color for the eyes.
    then black mascara.

for the lips, just use a nude peach or pink

purple looks best with green eyes. just remember to get a light color and not a dark color. a light pink would look best with your skin, forget about your hair, that doesnt really matter.

    1) try green eyeliner or pale green eyeshadow (or both) it works wonders!!
    2) try a dark peach or light brown very glossy color

Oh, well a friend of mine has about the same eye color and she uses lots of browns, navys, and purples for eyeliner. I always notice that her eyes stand out more. I’m not too sure about lip glosses but I’m sure a classic light pink would look nice (friend uses this as well).

Try the new Almay products for eyes. They are a little more expensive than other make up but TRUST me (!!!) it is soo worth it!Best money Ive ever spent and hate spending money on make up! They also have tons of lipstick/gloss. Check out http://www.almay.com for lots more info!

I would say trying different shades of green eyeshadow and/or liner. Also if you like green, try wearing green tops……when I wear green my eyes really pop. For lips I would try a pale peachy-pink or sheer red gloss. I LOVE Kiss Therapy lip treatment by mark/Avon, in sheer red. It’s my favorite, so flattering :-)

green will definitely help. but first use a cream, light yellow/gold, light brown, for your all over eye shadow.
after you put on your eye liner ( a light brown would suit you good, but the green is mostly going to be the ‘liner’ so don’t be to heavy on the brown liner- half way across the bottom lashes and all across on the top: the line being thicker on the outside of your eyes[this will also make your eyes look bigger]) take some green *shadow*, use a brush, like a small, soft paint brush, and apply it around your eye. its hard to explain. like on your bottom lashes: apply it under your liner, across most of the eye from the outside in. and on your lid apply it in the crease and a little more on the outside of your lid to your lashes. the reason for using the shadow is to give it more of a soft look. not a hard look like liner.my bff has the same eyes: brown/green. she does this and it really brings the green out. i hope it helps!
try different shades of green, find some with sparkles. experiment!

well…first of all dont ever match your eye shadow with your outfit (big no-no!) also, i read that you actually want to chose eyeshadow by the color of your hair…
golden blonde, strawberry blonde, red, or brownish hair-champagne, peach, copper, warm green, or golden brown
grey, ash blond, dark brown, or black hair-pink, violet, blue, turquoise, cool green, or brown
good with any color hair-peach, grey, or neutral brown

for lipgloss i would use a kind of dark pink or a very pretty brownish red…

hope i helped a little bit!

I have the green/brown eye color as well… for day try using a light wash of gold shadow on the lid & brow bone and an olive green shadow in the crease. I like Prescriptive’s Golden & Sage for this look (http://www.prescriptives.com/templates/products/sp_shaded_color.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY14697&PRODUCT_ID=PROD8123). If you want a more dramatic/night look… try purples. If you have pink undertones to your skin, use blue based purples…. if you have yellow based undertones, use red based purples.
And… with your pale skin, don’t use black eyeliner unless you blend the crap out of it…. try a rich brown instead.

As far as lipgloss/sticks go… you need to figure out what your skin undertone is. To figure this out, what is the color cast of your skin under a natural light? Remove your makeup and try this: stand in front of the mirror under natural light. With 1 pure white piece of fabric and 1 off-white/cream fabric in each hand, take turn to drape each piece over your shoulder and chest. Compare the effect and decide which color piece brightens and brings life to your skin, and which piece dulls your face. Also… if you’re prone to burning easily, you’ve more than likely got cool undertones. If you tan easily, then warm. Try scoping out Neutrogena’s lipglosses once you’ve figured everything out… they’re sheer & not sticky.

Hopefully, this helped you out :)
