First, if a woman’s got it without make-up, she really shouldn’t use any. And Avril’s got it. There’s no point covering up natural beauty. It’s stupid.
Second… That “without” picture was taken from far away with a long telephoto, then blown up. It’s lost detail and definition, and let’s face it, because of the circumstances, it’s not the most flattering pose or expression. Most paparazzi shots are awful.
Now… Take a picture of her actually smiling, or a little pouty, from fairly close up with, say, an 80mm lens and under good light, and she’d look damned good. Honestly. If she’d been aware that a picture was being taken of her, do you really think she’d be looking like she just swallowed a frog? Hell no.
It depends. I think she’s not ugly without make up.
